London Stock Exchange postpones the implementation of alphanumeric SEDOL

The London Stock Exchange (LSE) has announced that it intends to postpone the implementation of alphanumeric SEDOL codes. The LSE is expected to announce a new implementation date on Friday 23 January 2004. Please see www.londonstockexchange.com/techlib/sedol.asp for further information.

FT Interactive Data made those the changes it considers necessary for its systems and products to process alphanumeric SEDOL codes, on the basis of information supplied to date by the LSE. All products remain in a ready state for the implementation of the new format code.

Any customer who requires information on how this announcement affects the service they receive from FT Interactive Data should contact their local account manager, or client services.

Any customer who requires more information about the LSE's decision to change the live date of the project should contact their account manager at the LSE or the SEDOL Helpdesk on +44 (20) 7797 3009 (STX 33009) or email sedol@londonstockexchange.com
