The Fair Value Information Service from Interactive Data Pricing and Reference Data offers investment fund companies a convenient and flexible tool to assist them in meeting their fair value requirements and to reassure investors that their investment fund company is taking steps to safeguard shareholder interests.
Experience
The result of extensive research and development, our Fair Value Information Service reflects 35 years of leadership providing mission-critical data to financial institutions worldwide. Released in 2002, the Fair Value Information Service has over 150 subscribers. We continue to take an active role as a thought leader in the field of valuations and have released twelve white papers on trends and issues of concern to the industry. In January 2007, we were awarded a patent by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office for Fair-Value Pricing of a Financial Asset.
Support
We employ an extensive service infrastructure featuring a team of Evaluators who monitor the daily output; Methodology experts who work with the Evaluators in support of the model; Production support teams to monitor production and delivery of product files; and service teams who can provide quick and knowledgeable responses to questions, respond to specific price verification requests, and refer complex challenges to our Evaluations team.
Special Features
-
We use a “bottom-up” multi-factor regression methodology that applies to each security rather than a “top-down” methodology applied to a country, sector, or portfolio.
- Performance of the model is back-tested to compare evaluated prices to local opening prices the following day.
- We provide data in user-specified bulk formats as well as through an on-line interface that enables the client to view additional fair value information and back-testing or daily reports.
