Mutual Funds Against Cancer Names Interactive Data as Foundation Sponsor to Help Raise $4 Million for Cancer Research
Leading Provider of Financial Data and Other Industry Leaders Join the MFAC Team for 2008 and 2009

Mutual Funds Against Cancer (MFAC), one of the leading advocates in the fight against cancer within the mutual fund and financial industry, recently announced Interactive Data Corporation (NYSE: IDC) as its Foundation
Sponsor for the next two years.
Through a series of fundraising events, including the “Expect Miracles Golf Classic” and the “Expect Miracles Wine Extravaganza”, MFAC, Interactive Data and other leading mutual fund and financial services companies will work together to raise money and awareness to fight cancer. MFAC has recently pledged to donate $4 million to the Center For Applied Cancer Sciences (CACS).
CACS, which is part of The Belfer Institute for Innovative Cancer Science at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, is creating a drug discovery and development pipeline for six cancers: colon, pancreas, lung, melanoma (skin), myeloma (blood) and glioblastoma (brain). This has been identified as a priority in the Institute’s strategic plan for research because its overarching goal is to accelerate the development of promising investigational new drugs (INDs) for each of these six diseases.
